About Yad Moss
Yad Moss is on the B6277, 7 miles south of Alston between there and Middleton in Teesdale which is 15 miles away. There is parking on the east side of the road. Please avoid parking on the west (right when going up the hill) of the road. Cars parked on the west risk slipping into the ditch or blocking access for the snowplough. Yad Moss has no postcode but we are about 1 mile south east of CA9 3HB. The tow is a 10mins uphill walk from the car park.
Yad Moss Snow Slope is run entirely by volunteers and has been for close to 40 years. Facilities at the site have gradually been improved over that period and we now offer outstanding and accessible opportunities to enjoy snow sports in England and every penny we take gets ploughed back to improve the experience.
The ski area is served by a fast Poma button tow which is unsuitable for inexperienced skiers and snowboarders. Length 600m: Vertical rise 120m: Top Station 725m: Uplift 600 people per hour. Depending on snow cover there are runs up to half a mile in length. Our membership charge is currently £20 per day or £55 for a Season Ticket which must be purchased before 30th October. Please see our website www.yadmoss.co.uk for news of when we are open along with snow conditions and whether the road is clear. Please bring a shovel to dig out a parking position. The farmer will not allow any dogs at all.
Our stone daylodge provides warmth and shelter for your lunch (we have no catering facilities so bring your own food and drinks) and is equipped with compostingtoilets.
PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE NO HIRE EQUIPMENT
