About Ackers Adventure

Set in the heart of the Midlands, 2 miles from Birmingham City Centre, Ackers Adventure provides a range of outdoor activities including skiing, climbing, archery and canoeing!

Ackers Adventure has 3 floodlit synthetic bristle matting slopes available for use throughout the year. The main slope is approx. 100m long and incorporates a permanent ramp jump area and button ski lift. There are also two 30m nursery slopes. One is dedicated solely to snowboard lessons whilst the other is used for starter ski lessons.

Lessons and courses are great value for money and offer an excellent coaching model coupled with continual assessment and input from your instructors.

Skiing Courses and Lessons at Ackers Adventure, Birmingham, are held throughout the year and can be arranged around your time table.

  • Friday 6:00pm – 9:00pm Midland Ski Club (no recreational skiing)
  • Saturday – 10:00am – 5:00pm

On Wednesday evenings from 6:15pm – 7:45pm we have a Snowplough/Parallel Plus lesson. There are 15 minutes at the start and end of the session to practice before and after the 1 hour of coaching in between.

The session teaches you everything you need to know about skiing for just £14pp in a relaxed environment and is also a great opportunity to meet like minded people. It aims to teach you to become a recreational skier over a period of weeks in preparation for more advanced sessions that we offer.

Ackers Adventure

At a special introductory price of only £5, a 1.5 hour dry slope ski session for everyone who can already use a drag lift and ski using basic linked turns, or better!. Our qualified coaches will give you instruction and help you decide which one of our Tuesday, Thursday or Friday sessions would be the best for you.
